In the first days of this year, the United States were impacted by the tragic news of the death of 12 miners in Virginia.
Among the victims, we find Martin Toler Jr., 51 years old. While he protected himself from poisoning gas, almost losing him strength, he could get a pencil and write a note to his family.
He wrote: “Tell all I’ll see them on the other side. “It wasn't bad. I just went to sleep. I love you Jr”.
The tragedy got worse because at the first moment we had the news that 12 miners were alive and one was dead. But actually the opposite happened.
I remember the other tragedy of 09/11/2001 when the terrorists attack the World Trade Center and many people on the planes called their families from their cell phones saying the same: “I Love you”.
After the first month of this year, how many times have you said to your spouse, to your son or daughter, father, mother, brother or sister: “I Love you”?
Recent researches show that the biggest problem of humanity is not hunger, wars, but lack of love.
John 15: 17 say: “These things I command you, that ye love one another.” We should hold the promises of Jesus and fulfill his commandments. This is a commandment so we should fulfill it.
Let us not wait for tragedies in our lives to say “I love you” to the ones around us. Say it right now, don’t lose any opportunity. It produces joy, peace , reconciliation and makes the other person feel good.
