(Acts 17: 6) Paul and Silas arrived in a city called Thessalonica and went to a synagogue. They did that for three weeks. In their perspective, it was a good place to proclaim the good news of the gospel.
In our days, I don't know if many of us would have the courage to go into a Jewish synagogue to preach. Their acts inspired us until this day.
The message that they preach is simple and efficacious: Jesus Christ came, died in a cross, resurrected and is with the Father
Verse 5 tells us that, the Jews moved by envy, started a persecution. Unoccupied men promoted a riot in the city. Be prepared to face opposition, when you give your testimony about Jesus.
The accusation against them was: These men who have caused trouble all over the world now have come here. They already knew what God was doing among Paul and Silas.
The expression that they used "trouble all over the world" makes sense: "they are turning the world up side down, now come here". The message that they preached was not to make things worse, but to "make the world a better place."
A world filled with people transformed by the power of the gospel.
