Paralysis - (06/27/04)

Medicine defines paralysis as “a muscle movement lost as a consequence of an injury or molestation of a nervous beam.”There are several types of paralysis in consequence of a stretch of the motor system. Therefore, there is a spiritual sickness which is very dangerous and little investigated by the Christian community, although it has a large capacity of penetration in the Christian community. It is one of the greatest types of paralysis. It is called The Will Paralysis. The believer who is committed to this sickness presents the following symptoms:

01 Limitation on the service of the Lord. We can’t count on the person for nothing. They can't come to the Sunday’s services, can’t read the bible or separate time for prayer. Can’t give tithes, can’t come to the prayer meetings or assume responsibilities with the church. They also can’t be witnesses. The sickness affects deeply. It’s interesting that this infirmity does not affect the professional, scholar or domestic life of the individual. With frequency we can encounter them in the sports stadiums, on the beach, visiting with relatives or doing other things.
02. The sick person is more likely to say “If I knew how to sing, I would serve the Lord.” “If I had the gift of speaking, I would serve the Lord.” Or “If I had the gift of speaking, I would be a teacher at Sunday School”, “If I was able to do this or that…”

But I bring great news! The cause of this sickness is already known. It’s called sin. It’s sin in the life of the believer that is bringing “The Paralysis of the will.” There is only one miracle remedy. And it can restore your life of service in the Kingdom. It’s called Jesus Christ. Still today, it knocks down the sin and attacks the Paralysis of the Will.
