The most used excuses that I have heard from non-tithing Christians are:
| 01. | My salary is too small, it doesn't fulfill my need. |
| 02. | My expenses are big. I don't even know how to calculate my tithes. |
| 03. | I'm building my home, or buying a property and I have to invest everything on it. |
| 04. | I give my tithes... with my heart. |
| 05. | Next month, I promise God I'll give my tithes. |
| 06. | I'm not a thither for I don't agree with this or that expense of the church. |
| 07. | I don't agree with tithing because I see no support for it on the New Testament. |
| 08. | I contribute as I purpose in my heart. The money is mine and I spend it the way I want. |
There are also those who doesn't give their tithes, but have no explanation for it.
| Tithes are a subject of faith. Not mathematics. |
| In the math of unfaithfulness the one who wants more get less. |
| In the math of faith, the one who gives more gets more. Just read Malachi 3:10. |
