Excuses for not Giving the Tithes (01/25/04)

The most used excuses that I have heard from non-tithing Christians are:

01. My salary is too small, it doesn't fulfill my need.
02. My expenses are big. I don't even know how to calculate my tithes.
03. I'm building my home, or buying a property and I have to invest everything on it.
04. I give my tithes... with my heart.
05. Next month, I promise God I'll give my tithes.
06. I'm not a thither for I don't agree with this or that expense of the church.
07. I don't agree with tithing because I see no support for it on the New Testament.
08. I contribute as I purpose in my heart. The money is mine and I spend it the way I want.

There are also those who doesn't give their tithes, but have no explanation for it.

Tithes are a subject of faith. Not mathematics.
In the math of unfaithfulness the one who wants more get less.
In the math of faith, the one who gives more gets more. Just read Malachi 3:10.
