Text: II Corinthians 5:21
 
Introduction.

Matthew 26:26-27. Jesus undertakes our sin.He takes our guilt upon himself. He couldn't die before taking our pain away.
Matthew 27:46 God turns His back to Jesus.
John 1:29 The testimony of John the Baptist about Jesus.
 
01. The Lamb was sold.

Matthew 21:12 . They had set up a great trade center within the Temple.
Matthew 26:14-15 A slave would cost 30 coins of silver.

02. The lamb had to be taken to the priest.
 
Exodus 30:10 Aaron was the priest.
Matthew 26:57 Caiaphas was the priest.
Matthew 26:66 " He is guilty." He must die.

03.The lamb had to be without defect.

Exodus 12:5 The first Passover.
Matthew 27:24 Jesus has no defect,says Pilates.
Matthew 27:4 Judas' testimony:He is innocent.

Conclusion.
 
Matthew 27:45-46
Jesus was crucified at 3 o' clock.(9 o'clock in the morning.)
From 6 to 9 ,darkness fell across the whole land.( from 12 to 3 o'clock)
At 3 o'clock ( 9 o' clock) Jesus died.
3 o 'clock was the exact time when the High Priest would enter the "The Most Holy Place".
There's no need for a high priest's prayers anymore.
Jesus goes to the Calvary , so that I can go to Heaven.
