- Ecclesiastes 12:13: King Solomon sums up the reason why we are here:
“Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.”

- In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul - II Timothy 2:15
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”

- In another version of the Bible - Kings James version. It reads:  “Study to show thyself approved to God….”

It is clear from the Word of God that God desires for His people to study the Scriptures so that they can be effective workers for Him.

Unfortunately our schools today have rejected the truth of God’s Word.

Objective: The objective of this evening’s sermon is to share seven fundamental truths you will not learn in School.

I. The Inspiration of the Scriptures ( II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21 )

II. The Trinity ( Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:21-22; John 10:30 )

III. The Divinity of Jesus Christ ( John 1:1; John 8:58 )

IV. The Substitutionary Death of Christ ( Hebrews 9:14 )

V. Justification by Faith Alone ( Romans 3:28 )

VI. The Second Coming of Christ ( Revelation 22:20 Jesus’ last words in the Bible! Also, I Thessalonians 4:13-18)

VII. Future Punishment of the Wicked ( Matthew 25:46 and Revelation 20:11-15 )

Conclusion:

In light of these truths, lets consider Jesus’ words in John 14:6.
