Text: Matthew 14: 22-23 Introduction. - Jesus receives the news of the death of John the Baptist. Matthew 14:12 - Jesus calls the apostles to another place. Matthew 14:13 - The multitude runs and gets there before Jesus. Matthew 14:14 -The place is a desert; Jesus multiplies the bread and the fishes. Matthew 14:17-21 - John 6:15 says that the multitude wanted to make Jesus the king in the place of Herod. - Jesus orients the disciples ( Matthew 14:22 ) says goodbye to the multitude ( Matthew 14:23 ) and goes to pray by himself ( Matthew 14:23 ) - Jesus lived for everyone until he gave his own life on the cross. - He is our example of prayer. Even though he was tired, he didn’t stop praying. - At 3 o’clock in the morning he saw the boat in the storm and he gets closer.
01. Storms are inevitable.
- Matthew 14:24 - The disciples had spent the day with Jesus; they had seen a great miracle. - Matthew 14:26. Jesus comes closer. He was the only one who could help. - Our live is not different. 02. During storms, we should look at Jesus.
- Matthew 24:30 - Peter makes a prayers, he goes right to the point, the necessary. - Matthew 24:28 shows the impulsive Peter. - And Jesus always accepts him, hears and helps Peter. - Stay firm looking at Jesus. If we look to the side, we drown. - Peter looks at Jesus and walks on the water. - When he sees the waves (circumstances) he begins to drown.
03. Adore Jesus after the storm is gone. - Matthew 14:33. - When Jesus helped others with his miracles, the disciples never adored Jesus, They just watched everything. - Now a miracle in their lives, they adore. - The help of God comes when we seek with an only hope. - Matthew 14:30. Jesus extended the hands in answer to the faith. - Many seek Jesus, are blessed and then “turn their back to him”
Conclusion.
- Matthew 14:32. - Do you have Jesus in your life? In your house? - Luke 6: 47-49. In his teaches Jesus remembers the storms. - Where have you put your life in? - With Jesus it’s easier to face storms. - Believe in Jesus only.
