This one occurred on Friday very early.
There was a formal accusation against Jesus: "King of Jews" which was presented to Pilate.
But the testimonies did not agree with each other.

"Neither has Herod for he sent him back to us"
Pilate had sent Him to Herod who was in Jerusalem at that time. (Luke 23:7)
05.
Luke 23:41
- The testimony of the criminal.
"But this man has done nothing wrong"
A bad man who received the death penalty of the cross but recognizes the innocence of Jesus.
06.

- The testimony of the centurion
" Surely he was the Son of God!"
He commanded 100 Roman soldiers in Palestine.
Matthew 27:51

Also "the curtain of incredulity” was torn .
Conclusion.
Why did Jesus have to died if He was innocent?
I Peter 2:24
. To carry our sins.
I Peter 2:21
. He substituted us.
I Peter 3:18
. The just dies for the unjust.
