When the Wine is Gone - (12/12/04 - Night)

Text: John 2: 1-3

Introduction.

- They invited Jesus for a wedding party.
- In the Jewish culture, the wine was important.
- The wine finishes, but there is no problem. Why? Because Jesus is present.

01. And when the money is gone?
- Matthew 17: 24-27 - Jesus is without money.
- John 12: 4-6 - informs us that they had some savings.
- Then a miracle happens.

02. And when the health is gone?
- Matthew 9:18-26.
- Mark the evangelist brings the same narrative. Chapter 5.
- The girl was 12 old years. The woman suffered for 12 years also.
- In his ministry Jesus did not cure everybody. But He cured many.

03. And when the hope is gone?
- John 11: 1-3 and 11: 11-14.
- Martha and Maria ask someone to tell Jesus.
- The news is very bad.
- John 11:14: "Lazarus is dead".
- But with Jesus there is still hope.
- John 11:39 "Remove the stone". The people could do something so that the miracle could happened.
- John 11: 41-45. The solution. Why? Jesus is present.

04. And when the life ends?
- Luke 23: 39-43.
- Luke 23: 39. A man died in sin.
- Luke 23: 42. Another died for sin.
- Luke 23: 46. Jesus died for the sin.
- Luke 23:42. The best request.
- Luke 23:43. The best present.
- There is two kinds of death. The good and the bad.
- The good death is to die with Jesus. The bad is to die without Jesus.

Conclusion.
- When the money ends. When health is gone. When there is no hope.
When life ends.
- That happens to everybody.
- What does make a difference? Have Jesus always present.
