Exodus 25-31

Content:

  1. Ex 25:1-8: The Lord tells the Israelites, through Moses, to bring Him specific offerings.
  2. Ex 25:9: The Lord tells the Israelites, through Moses, what the offerings will be used for.
  3. Ex 25:10-22: To build The Ark of the Testimony where God will ,meet with Israel to give all His commands for the Israelites.
  4. Ex 25:23-30: To build a Table to put the bread of the Presence on.
  5. Ex 25:31-40: To build The Lampstand so to light the space in front of the table.
  6. Ex 26:1-30: To build the tabernacle to contain its components.
  7. Ex 27:1-8: To build The Altar of Burnt Offering to God.
  8. Ex 27:9-19: To build a courtyard for the Tabernacle
  9. Ex 27:20-21: Oil for the Lampstand so that the lamps may be kept burning.
  10. Ex 28-29: God gave specific instructions and reasons about priestly garments, the consecration of the priests, and their duties so that they could serve, glorify and recognized God for the generations to come.
  11. Ex 30: God continued giving instructions regarding the altar of incense, atonement money, basin for washing, anointing oil and incense.
  12. Ex 31: to Jethro God filled people with His Spirit giving them the necessary skill, ability and knowledge in all kind of crafts to accomplish that of which they were asked to do and then God says to the Israelites ”You must observe my Sabbaths”.

Divisions:


1. Ex 25:1-27:8: The Lord tells the Israelites, through Moses:

  • To bring Him specific offerings
  • How to use the offerings
  • The reason for the offerings

2. Ex 27:9-30: The Lord tells the Israelites, through Moses:

  • Specific plans for the Tabernacle
  • Priestly anointment and duties

3. Ex 31:1-11: God gave the means to His people to do His work (build the
    Tabernacle) and demanded Sabbath observation.

Subject Sentence:


God instructs and capacitates Israel regarding Tabernacle building and priestly duties.

Aim:

To cause people to realize that God tells us to bring our God given offerings and talents to be used for His cause His way.

Applications Questions -

Division 1:

  1. How did God tell you to build His Tabernacle in your life?
  2. Did you build or dedicate it? If yes, what did you bring as an offering and how was it built to represent the dwelling place of God?
  3. How do you recognize the bread and light of your life? And how do you keep the light on and the incense burning?

Division 2:

  1. Where do you meet God? What place have you set apart allowing God’s presence to dwell at?
  2. Who’s blood are you using to approach God?

Division 3:

  1. How has God equipped you to serve Him in this world? And how are you serving Him with the gifts He has given you?
